Olivia Utterback '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Olivia Utterback. I play for Circle City Volleyball Club and Plainfield High School.  I started playing club volleyball in 8th grade when I made the 14-2's at Circle City.  In my freshman year I made the 15-1's and helped lead my team to a 21st place finish at USAV Nationals Open Division.  As a freshman I was voted MVP and All-Conference on my high school team.  This year, as a sophomore, I made the 16-1's and was again MVP and All-Confernce in high school.

I have learned many things from volleyball.  Qualities such as leadership,  responsibility,  and teamwork have really become prominent in my life.  Volleyball has also taught me to never give up.  I'm looking for schools big and small, with a great educational reputation.  I love school spirit so that definitely will be important when deciding a school.  My desired field of study has been in the medical field for as long as I can remember.  I love working with people and love to help them as well.

My goals for playing volleyball in college are to have lots of fun representing my school and playing to the best of my ability.  I want to actually play in my early years of college and not sit the bench until I am an upperclassman.  I want to have a positive impact on my fellow teammates and be a part of a successful competitive team wherever I end up playing.  No matter where I am, I will give 110% effort in everything I do.  I think I would be a great addition to any college volleyball team!
