Volleyball is my favorite sport. I am a hard worker and highly dedicated. I take lessons weekly, participate in a competitive club program, and attend additional trainings with professionals and college athletes whenever I can. I've played mostly middle hitter/blocker since 5th grade, but I started attending additional training for OH/OPP so I can be more versatile and competitive. I’m 6’3", 150 pounds, and my standing reach is 8’2". In addition to volleyball, I play basketball and run track for my high school. I qualified for State in the shuttle hurdle relay in 2021. I also participate in choir, show choir, and drama/theatre offerings. I absolutely love to sing!
It's important to me to be a good leader and role model, both on and off the court. I'm high-energied and celebrate every point. Volleyball is a game of momentum!! I'm a good teammate, positive, and want to bring my teammates up no matter what is happening in the game. My values are important to me and I work to live by those values, even when it's difficult, every single day. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January 2020. That challenge has influenced me to focus on what really matters. We possess the power to significantly impact our circumstances when we maintain hope, faith, and a positive attitude. I try very hard to live by that.
I'm a strong student (4.01 GPA, ranked 1st in my class, and take Honors classes) and academics are also very important to me. I'm looking for a school that is a good fit, both athletically and academically, feels like “home”, and allows me to fully develop my academic interests while playing the sport I love so much. I’m seeking a program and a staff that will stress the importance of being a strong and balanced "student-athlete".
