Personal Statement
My name is Brittyn Hipp. I started playing volleyball when I was in 3rd grade. My mom influenced me to begin playing. My family is a big part of my life and have always supported my decisions. Through playing volleyball I have learned that a big part of sports is mental. I believe you have to believe and trust in yourself before you even step foot on the court in order to perform to your highest potential. Volleyball has shaped my character in many ways. It helped me come out of my shell and meet new people. It has taught me to get team chemistry quickly and efficiently. Also, through volleyball, I have become stronger in my academics. I learned that you can't just go through life doing enough to pass, you have to work to your top potential and always strive to get better. I am a very competitive person and love a good competition. I am organized and always turn in my homework assignments. I study for tests and always expect more out of myself. Volleyball is a passion for me and I never take any second I am on the court for granted. In college, I am looking for a good educational school that I can further my volleyball career at. I want to play as much as possible.
