Emma Loiars '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Emma Loiars, and I am a DS/RS in the class of 2022. I started playing volleyball in 6th grade. I used to play softball, soccer, and basketball before I decided to pursue volleyball as my primary sport. I have always had the dream to play a sport in college because both my parents played. My mother played volleyball at D1 Siena College and my father played baseball at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).

I give 100% in everything I do, not just in volleyball but in school as well. I value my education very highly and push myself to be the best I can in the classroom and on the court. I have a weighted GPA of 4.02 and an unweighted GPA of 3.9. I am taking AP and honors classes at my school. I love to play music as well whether it is on the alto saxophone in band class or the piano at my house. I am undecided still on what I want to major in, but I am highly considering Marketing and Business.

I am a team leader that believes in leading by example. I am a supportive and encouraging teammate and a very coach-able player. I work hard every day, on and off the court to be a team leader and to set examples for those around me. I have the ability and skill to be a versatile player. For my club team, I play 6 rotations and hitting right side. I have played 6 rotations my entire volleyball career but my passion is being a DS.

I believe I could be an asset to your program by bringing my positive and hardworking attitude.
