Having almost never played before, I was a starting Varsity player my Freshmen year. That same year I made the 15 National team for Maine Juniors. The following year I made the 16 National Team and this year I made the 17 National Team. My family and I have dedicated so much of our lives to this sport, as it has become an incredible passion of mine. It's given me confidence and helped me learn how to overcome physical and mental challenges. Regarding academics, I have excellent grades (a 4.0 + GPA) and a high class ranking (within top 5 of my class of 268.) I'm also well rounded, as I play in my schools concert band as a flautist, participate in math team, and do track and field. Although I have expressed interest in the mathematics field, I feel open-minded towards my future and always try to set myself up to be prepared for whatever path I may take. Despite this, I can definitely picture a college-volleyball path for myself, and am determined to pursue improvement in my playing ability, coachability and overall knowledge on this wonderful sport as much as I can.
