Personal Statement
I am a dedicated student athlete-devoted to my sport, my team and my education. I don't just work hard on the court during a game. I'm coachable-I practice hard and love to hear feedback on the areas where I can do better. I am constantly working to improve physically by doing in-season personal training twice per week and off-season personal training four times per week.
In 2015 and 2016, I was 1st team all conference and 1st team all county in high school and I led my team in kills, blocks, digs and aces. 2016 was growth year for me in club as I had the opportunity to play up on 18s Nationals with a really great team. We won several golds and finished with a bronze at NEQ which enabled us to compete at Nationals in Milwaukee. I did not see as much game time as I would have on a 17s team, but I gained incredible experience that I know made me a much better player overall. I'm looking forward to a great senior club season again with MVA 18 Nationals!
I am a dedicated student and will put forth as much effort in my studies as I do volleyball. I was homeschooled for the first two years of my high school career. I believe this made me a better student with an ability to work independently, self motivate, and manage time wisely. I have successfully made the transition to public school where I am taking Honors, AP, and college prep courses. In college, I hope to study Forensic Science or Biology so that I am able to work behind the scenes of law enforcement.
