Personal Statement
Hi, I'm Carrina Barron. Growing up I have been surrounded by volleyball, whether it was at my parents' games, or when we went in the backyard just to have fun. I joined the Smash Volleyball Club when I was 9 and have stayed with that club for 7 years now. Growing up I did all kinds of sports including basketball, soccer, and track, but volleyball was the one I had the most passion for. Academically I try to challenge myself and take difficult classes, while on the court I push myself and my teammates to do the best we can every game and every practice. My strengths on the court include reading the hitter and going for every ball no matter how impossible it seems to get up. I have been interested in art and architecture from a young age and I enjoy my English and History classes. I am looking to find a college that not only piques these interests but also a place where I can encounter new people and challenges that will make me a well rounded person.
