Alessandra Dietz '11 Recruiting Profile

I am an athletic and quick 6'1" middle from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. I have four years of club experience and I am currently playing for Michigan Elite Volleyball Club 18-1. My strengths are my fast and powerful armswing and ability to score. I hit all the sets especially quicks very well. I am very quick in transition. I was a 1st team all-state selection this year in high school class A. All-Region and All-Catholic Honors.We won our State Championship with a 69-6-1 record. This was back-to-back State Championships as we also won in 2009 with a 77-2 record. This year I had a .584 hitting percentage and a .641 kill percentage to lead the state in attacking. This the result of 649 kills on only 58 errors. This ranked me at #2 in the Nation by Maxpreps in attack. I was selected as an AVCA All-American H.M. I was a Miss Volleyball Michigan Finalist(4th). I am a Gatorade Player of the Year State Finalist. Team Co-Captain and team MVP. I touch 9'11" on my approach. I am looking for a school with a competitive volleyball program as well as excellent academics and I am planning on possibly attending some graduate school afterwards. I am not sure yet what I want to study, perhaps dentistry or law. I do not have a preference on the location of the school or size. I have family all over the country and I have no ties to the mid-west. I want to play at the highest level and compete. I know that it will be hard work but I want to challenge myself. I also enjoy the camaraderie of being on a team and a part of something that is successful. I believe my best fit would be at an upper D-1 level program.
