Personal Statement
Volleyball has been my passion ever since I began playing in 5th grade. It's been my dream ever since then to play at the collegiate level. I am an extremely hard worker on and off the court and I am very committed to be successful. I am part way through my junior year and I currently carry a 3.98. Success on both the court and in the classroom is extremely important to me.
This past high school season I played outside hitter on a fantastic team that won its conference and that was ranked in the top 5 in the state for a majority of the year. I was recognized with All Conference, All Area, All Region and All State honors. I was voted as a team captain and led our team in kills, digs and serve-receive statistics. I was also selected as the WBBL Area Athlete of Week (Oct 14) in West Michigan.
I will be a member of a national club team (MVA 18 Black) where I will play libero, ds and sometimes oh during this season. I have been a team captain for the last four years at the club level. In the last few years I have been recognized with All Tournament honors at the Sports Performance President's Day tournament in Chicago, as a Defensive Dandy and Soph 79 from PrepVolleyball.com, the 2014 AVCA Phenom List and to the Beach Watch List by Junior Volleyball Association (jva.avca.org) for sand volleyball.
I absolutely love playing the libero position and that is what I would want to play in college. I am extremely passionate and hardworking with everything that I do, and playing college volleyball would impact my life in so many ways.
