Personal Statement
My name is Madison Partak and I am a setter for Traverse City Central High School and Northshore Club Volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since fourth grade and I have been in love with the sport and its team values ever since. In elementary school I was very shy and didn’t have a lot of confidence in my ability and role on a team. Through the many years of playing on incredible teams, this sport has helped me find confidence in myself and my ability and transformed me into a leader. It has minimized self doubt and bettered my relationship, communication, and work ethic skills, not only in volleyball, but also in school and in my life. Today, those traits have transformed me into a very driven and hardworking teammate on and off the court. In school, I am a 4.0 student and academics play a large role in who I am. Currently I am taking courses that are going to set me up to enter into the field of nursing or business. Both career paths are very competitive and it is important for me to find a school and a job where I can be challenged and push myself to reach my goals. Through my work ethic and driven personality, I hope to thrive in my schooling and continue to competitively play in college. I am looking forward to forming close bonds that I know will be formed with my college teammates and to play for a college that will continue to allow me to be competitive throughout my collegiate career.
