Michaela (Micki) Drumm '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Michaela Drumm, please call me Micki. I was first introduced to volleyball when I was a homeschooled eight year old.   I helped out with the local middle school's volleyball program. I was the ball girl for a 7th grade team and I was instantly infatuated. After convincing my parents to let me attend public school in order to play volleyball, I became hooked. I played on an 16 and up AAU volleyball team at the age of 13.  Then as a junior I was introduced to the club team USA Michigan Volleyball in Kalamazoo, two hours from where we live. I surprise most with my level of commitment, driving two hours one way for practices twice a week would turn most away from the sport, I have been told several times that I am incredibly coach able.   I love learning new techniques and ways to make myself better. Teamwork means a lot to me, as well as keeping an upbeat attitude even in hard times. Since I started playing, it has been my dream to play college volleyball.  Not only am I a strong athlete, but I am a strong student as well. I hold a high 3.6 GPA average and am ranked 11th in my class.  I am also a member of the National Honor Society, president of Student Council and also in numerous clubs for our school. My goal is to find a college with a strong physical therapy program.
