Syrena Whitner '14 Recruiting Profile

While I was in the third grade, my father had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery. Ever since then, I have dreamed of being a cardiac physician. I have taken the most rigorous courses offered at my high school, dual enrollment courses at Adrian College, and career related classes as well. To me there is nothing in the world that will prevent me from chasing my dream and doing what I have always wanted to do; and that is what will always motivate me. Knowing that a doctor saved my dad's life, makes me want to be able to give that gift to other families. My dad has supported me, has been my number one fan at every volleyball game of mine, and is there every step of the way. Some day I will do something great, whether it is helping one person, or 100 people.
