Personal Statement
~~Hello, my name is Tori Farrow and I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old. Volleyball is my greatest passion in life and nothing can bring me joy like the game does. My long term goal is to play volleyball at a high collegiate level and to grow and develop my skills as a player to benefit my team. To work my way up to a starting position on my team, and to utilize every educational tool that is offered at the university that I attend. I pride myself in being a student-athlete because I work just as hard in the classrooms as I do on the court. I am very coachable, hardworking, and I push myself because at the end of the day, if I don’t push then I’m cheating my teammates and myself. I pride myself in developing my hitting and blocking skills, those are some of my greatest attributes that I can bring to your team. I’m different from other recruits because although the rigor of my courses in high school were tough I remained level headed and prevailed with a stronger academic grounding, bringing energy and charisma to the court is keeping with my character. My athletics are different from other recruits because I have begun to take the steps towards making myself a collegiate athlete, I have been eating healthy and taking care of myself with emphasis on working out, pushing myself to the limits of a high school athletes level so that I can be prepared for college volleyball.
