Personal Statement

I started playing club volleyball when I was just 10 years old with my triplet sisters, Libby and Belle.  I started playing because my Dad played indoors and on the beach for a long time and my aunt/godmother played in college.  I think my biggest strengths are strong serve receive, the ability to anticipate and make plays and my quickness--although the big hitters get a lot of attention (and they should!), I believe that libero/DS's can be huge impact players as well! I've always been a leader on all of my teams, including being a captain of my high school varsity team this year as a junior as well as my 17's club team.  I am very competitive and I work really hard at everything that I take on--part of that may come from being a triplet--my sisters and I have always had a healthy competition between us. I want to go to a school that is a great fit for me athletically and academically--I don't want to go to a school just because I get an offer to play volleyball--it has to be a school that I know I want to attend for 4 years.  This is a life decision for me, so finding the right fit is really important.
