Personal Statement
My love for volleyball first rose to the surface when people told me that I was no good, that I never could be, and that I should just quit. It was a hard thing to hear and I thought about it day after day and after a while, I came to the conclusion that they were right. However, I didn't want to settle for just being good. I wanted to be great. I took action and decided to try out for a travel league the spring of my 8th-grade year, and I made it. Due to my hard work, I earned the Libero spot my freshman year on the JV team.
I have only progressed since then, I learned not only the skills of the game but also what makes a good player. I have become a great leader and taken my captainship to the highest degree. I've learned the importance of keeping positive energy on the court and picking up teammates. I have learned that working together and winning and losing as one makes a strong team. My teams' motto is 'All In' and that's what I will always be.
