Personal Statement
My name is Kaylin! I'm a dedicated and hard-working athlete. I've always been a leader. I try my best to keep the most positive mindset even in the worst situations, on and off the court. As a teammate, I push everyone around me to be and play their best. I don't just want myself to get better, I want the whole team to get better. It's my goal to play college volleyball. I've been around volleyball since I was born (both of my parents play volleyball). Winning a national title for college volleyball has always been a goal/dream of mine. I'm always trying to get better in every aspect of the game so I can play at a high level college. I want to make my family and coaches proud. Volleyball is such a competitive and fun sport. In a college, I look to be surrounded by people that are constantly striving to get better and push everyone around them to be the best they can be and more. I need a coach who will give me instruction; coach me, after every play just to make sure the job is being done. In 8th grade I ran track and was awarded MVP sprinter for scoring the most points. I didn't lose a race the whole season. I made varsity as the starting setter my freshmen year. I ran a 5-1. The summer before tryouts I went to every workout, open-gym, and practice game. Every second I was in the gym I gave it my all. Academically, I got an award for having the top grades in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. I currently am sitting with a 4.0 GPA.
