Gabrielle Straub '19 Recruiting Profile

    4th grade was my first year playing volleyball and I will forever be grateful for everyone who has helped me get to where I am now. I continually grow as a player and a student everyday and will continue to grow through my years. My biggest influencer is my mom,  she has always taught me to love my team and always reflect after a great or rough game. "Nobody is perfect and you can't expect yourself to be. All you just have to work your hardest and know it will turn out the way it is suppose to." 

    I have learned many skills to help me succeed not just volleyball but in life! When you make a mistake, you have to push through the struggle and shake off that point and know if you get another chance, you will make the most of it and prove to everyone you can do it. You always have to have your teams backs on and off the court and that helps a lot with becoming the best person you can be and always being kind to others. 

    With the rest of my schooling, I plan to work my hardest and get the highest grades I know I can get. I will never count myself out and push myself into my courage zone so I can do great things! I am a great volleyball player and I am always a leader on and off the court. I focus on the little things to get better and always reflect to see what I can improve on. I will never quit doing what I love and always believe in my team and myself.
