Personal Statement
The most dynamic influence on my life to date would be two fold. The first would be my parents divorce which led to my mom remarrying someone in the military. I now live in MIssissippi and I believe this is where most of my growth as an Individual and an athlete has transpired. This move has been the biggest obstacle that I have had to overcome in my career. I plan to graduate with a 3.5 GPA from high school and continue my educational advancements to be an elementary education teacher. I look forward to helping shape the minds of our next generation.
When I was growing up, I tried various activities: ballet, dance, gymnastics, cheer, and then volleyball at 8 years old. The moment I started playing it just clicked and My love for the sport is evident daily. Volleyball has taught me the importance of teamwork, dedication, being coachable, and how my actions affect and lead others both on and off the court. Volleyball gets me out of my head and I’m able to push myself past my comfort zone. My ability to maintain a positive outlook and focus when others are down is unique and acts as a motivator to bring others back to a proactive and winning mindset. My junior year Long Beach placed second at our state tournament and it showed me how to exhibit determination, leadership, and hustle. Throughout my highschool career I have been fortunate enough to be a four time all district and 2 time all state, and know that I am a good fit for your team!
