Personal Statement
I would like to introduce myself. I am a senior at St. Joseph High School in Madison, MS. I have officially completed my senior season, and was awarded, The Wendy's Heisman, Player of the Year, and Most Verstile Player awards. I played volleyball for the past six years on the varsity volleyball team at my school, and varsity advanced club player. I can play all six rotations with my main position being Setter, right side hitter, and Outside. I am 6'1 and weigh 190 pounds. I have a wing span of 74 inches. I played basketball all through elementary and middle school when I was invited to try out for the volleyball team at the end of my sixth grade year. I told the coaches I had never played before and she told me to try it I might like it. Well, I have been hooked ever since.
I have been invited to and participated in the high academic honors showcase for two years in a row. I was awarded the Dig Pink Ambassador leadership Award 2016, as well as Future Physicians of America Award, 2016.
I am very driven and focused on my education as well as my team. During the winter season I play travel competitive volleyball as well as varsity basketball. I am a member of the French Club, Retreat Team Leader, Leader of Fellowship Christian Athletes, Dance Marathon organizer for Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital, Leader for Can food drive to feed the hungry in Battle of the Saints and have recently became a nominee for the Association of Future Physicians.
I presently have a 3.82 grade point average and have taken the ACT with a score of a 24. I am registered to retake it again at the end of this year. My desire is to attend a university where I may play with an enthusiastic family/team and to pursue my education in nursing and service to others.
I look forward to pursuing and venturing into the next journey of my life.
