Thank you for scrolling to read my personal statement.
My goal is to play indoor/beach volleyball in college and get a sports therapy/athletic training or sports mental health therapy degree. I love all sorts of sports and that is why I want to find a career in the sports industry where I can help athletes.
Since I was 4 I have played various sports including soccer, softball, basketball (school and AAU), flag football, and of course, volleyball (school and club). There has never been a time I was not involved in sports.
I hustle on the court and am willing to learn new positions. Previously, I was a Libero/DS, but I was asked to move to Setter with my club team. So I practiced, practiced, and practiced some more to learn not only the fundamentals of the position but to strategize based on what the defense is doing.
After making the national team at my club, I have had to learn how to prioritize my school work and learn time management skills to balance both school and volleyball. My parent's long-time rule is I must maintain being an honor roll student to continue playing sports, so I make sure that I stay on the honor roll.
I believe integrity is very important in life... doing what is right even if no one is watching. I love helping people and animals as much as I can.
I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me.
