My name is Peyton Moore and I am 16 years old. I'm 5'10" with a 9'4" approach and an 8'9" block jump. I have a 3.68 GPA as a sophomore in high school and am participating in two honors classes as well as two writing classes and a business course. I've played volleyball for six years, and have started as a varsity volleyball player for my high school in both freshmen and sophomore year. I play on Invasion 16-1 black, which is a gold level team ranked in the top 10 of HOA region and top 100 nationally.
I want to play volleyball at a D1 college for all four years that I'm attending college. I'm going to major in business and get my business degree so I can own my own business and be a CEO when I graduate college. In high school, I'm taking classes and getting credits in an orderly way so that I can be a part time student senior year. By being a part time student senior year, I will have to take seven classes for the first semester of school (the semester of volleyball) so I can play volleyball as a senior, but then I will be able to 'graduate' at the semester change so I can spend the latter half of my senior year working at a job to have a stable financial life in college and focusing on my final year of club ball.
I'm different from other recruits because I'm a very versatile player that can adapt easily and can be coached to fit any team. I've had at least one year experience in each position in the front row, and I have fast feet and strong legs so I won't wear out in the back row. I have an aggressive serve that is very effective and very powerful. I won't give up in a game, and I will continue to work and work and work until I've given my best and then work past that point. I can adapt to any situation and am always putting the better of the team first. I can be put in any spot and can change what I have to to fit that spot's requirements. I'm very competitive and very high-spirited, and I love jumping headfirst into a match against a tough opponent because I know it will make me and the team better. I never back down from a challenge and am willing to do anything to get better for the team and myself.
