Personal Statement
As long as I can remember, I have been competitive. I have had this drive to be the best, do my best, and settle for nothing but the best. This quality has pushed my to where I am today, and is still pushing me farther through life. I have always liked a challenge and I like to be different than everybody else. I have been told on many occasions that I am a natural leader, and I have been invited to go to many leadership camps. I am currently in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Student Council, Operation Bugle Boy, and National Honors Society. I am often the one people turn to when they need a pep talk, or they don't know what or how to do something. This is also the same with volleyball. I try to talk my team up as much as possible and am always trying to be positive. I like to win, but I know that with every loss there is a lesson. Some people may be devastated when they fail, but I say fail harder because you won't learn anything by always winning. I believe that every problem, no matter how hard, has a solution. I aspire to play collegiate volleyball while pursuing a degree in Architecture. I am a firm believer that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. I try to push myself to be the best person I can be. I currently have a 4.0, and I am tied for number one in my class. I aspire to be valedictorian when I graduate. Many teachers and coaches have informed me that I am teachable and even when I fall I get back up. One saying I appreciate is, "You can get knocked down 99 times, and it won't matter as long as you get up 100 times" I am very resilient, and I don't get down on myself easily. I try to be a leader both on the court and in the classroom. Overall, I believe with hard work, and a good attitude you can accomplish anything life throws your way.
