My name is Ryan Briscoe, I am an 8th grade student who enjoys volleyball and aspires to make it to the college level. I play outside hitter and defensive specialist, weighing at 120 lbs and my height being 5'9.” I have been playing school volleyball since 7th grade and club volleyball since 5th grade. Even though I am only still in middle school, my GPA would be from a 3.9 to a 4.0 due to me mainly getting A's. Not only have I been complimented on my physical skills, but it has also been pointed out that I am very coachable, mature, and hardworking. My goals for my 8th grade seasons are to challenge myself with more competitive competition, and also being a better teammate. But that's not all I focus on, I focus on getting a better mental game too. From not being too hard on myself, to making sure I'm complimenting teammates and/or reassuring them if they make a mistake, I try and learn new things every day that make me a better player and a better person. I am aware that I may only be in 8th grade, but I know that the goals I have planned out this season will prepare me for high school and future years as I continue my love for volleyball.
