Personal Statement
Ever since I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and went to the U of M Gopher volleyball games, I knew I wanted to play in college. Volleyball is my way of escaping the reality and the stress of every-day life. It brings me so much joy, passion, and happiness.
My goal has never been to win the most; it has always been to be the best teammate I could possibly be. I want to help my teammates love the sport and be successful, whether that means on or off the court.
I am very proud of what I've accomplished academically throughout my life. I challenge myself to take hard classes and I'm usually my own toughest critic. I'm also proud of how I've made an impact on my high school's volleyball program. I hope to graduate knowing that I did the best I could in helping players believe in themselves, and that hopefully those girls will go on to inspire future players.
I know I can leave that same legacy behind wherever college volleyball takes me. I know I can be that player that not only makes a difference on the court, but off the court, too.
