Taylor Brungardt '19 Recruiting Profile

While I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm looking for in the type of college I want to attend, my goal is to find a school that is strong in academics and volleyball. It's my dream to play volleyball on a competitive college team but, ultimately, it's important that the school I attend provides the education I need for the career I want to pursue. 

Here's what you should know about me:

• I like math so I'm working to learn more about the field of engineering. I'm taking a class next year and talking to area engineers to understand all the opportunities. 
• At this point, I don't have a preference for a large versus a small college; I'm looking at both in-state and out-of-state colleges.  
• I set the bar high for myself. While it would be easier to take regular classes, for the past several years, I've taken several honors classes to challenge myself and prepare me for college.
• I've been playing club volleyball since age 9, and I've played all three three hitting positions. I play middle this year but will likely move to outside or right side in 2016-2017.
• I'm quick with good foot speed. I can cover the court on defense and close the block. My vertical is 24 inches when tested in March 2016.
• I don't like to lose, and I want the ball when the match is on the line.
• I'm in good physical shape and have been doing extra strength and agility training about twice a week since fall 2015 to get even stronger.
• I work hard, am a good teammate, and want to improve. 
• My mom is 6 ft and my dad is 6 ft 3 in. I'm not finished growing.
