Emily Stoker '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since I was in 7th grade and have been dreaming of playing at the collegiate level ever since. Now college is coming up around the corner and I look forward to it every day. I have so many goals in my life, both educational and in sports.

I am a very strong player. I have a high vertical and strong swing from any position on the net. Because of my height I am very quick and can be low to the ground. I have very fast defense and can respond to fast balls. I am a very good team player/leader on the court (captain of school team and many of my club teams). I always strive to push myself and my teammates to our full potential to reach our dreams.

I am a very good student in and out of the classroom. I strive to keep a high GPA while taking advanced and honors classes. I am involved in many clubs in my school that keep me motivated. In one of the community service groups I am in we clean up our town, visit the senior center, and buddy up with the younger elementary and middle school students to get them motivated to go into high school and live up to their full potential.

Playing in college has always been my goal. I want to go somewhere that will help me push myself academically and athletically. I want to go to a college that I can play at my highest level of competition. I hope to bring skills to whatever court I end up on to make my family, my friends, and myself proud.
