Audrey Nash '16 Recruiting Profile

HI! My name is Audrey Nash, I am 18 years old and a Senior at Asheville High School. I have been playing volleyball for 8 years. I am also a rower, just not competitively. I play volleyball year round including my Club season, High School season, and during summer camps. I love it more than anything else I have ever been involved in. I love learning new ways to improve my skills to develop my playing. I take every opportunity I can to increase my knowledge of the sport, my passion for it, and my skill set.  I completed my final season with Asheville High as Captain.  I have been on the Varsity team since my sophomore year, and made 1st Team All-Conference in the MAC 3A division, the only person from my school.  For 2015, I was recognized as the Best All Around Player, and in 2016 I was honored to win the newly named-Cougar Award for best all around player.   I have played 7 years of club volleyball, all with BVA-Biltmore Volleyball Academy. I developed my skills as a right side in the 13-14 season for my 17 Elite team with Biltmore Volleyball Academy, and was the Team Captain as setter in the 14-15 season on the 17 Elite team.  I am currently on the 18 Elite Team and am Captain again.  I work very well with others and am always encouraging. I keep my head high and try not to let others hang their heads. I am always open to new coaching techniques, where I will use them to improve and put 100% of my effort into it. My determination is one like none other, once I set a goal in my head, that goal will be met no matter what. My academics are superb as well. My GPA shows that I have determination. My grades are extremely important to me, they always have been and always will be. Just like with volleyball, I strive to be the best I can. College has never not been an option for me. I want to pursue the highest education I can, to be the best person I can be.  Meteorology has struck me as fascinating since I first watched the Weather Channel. I know I have what it takes to compete on the highest level in academics and athletics. Thank you for viewing my page!
