My name is Selena Biele and I was born prematurely at 29 weeks gestation, and weighed in at only 2 pounds. My twin sister Angelica was born two days later weighing in at 3 pounds. Not only does this make me different from any other recruits in character but it also sets me apart from the rest when it comes to overcoming obstacles. I have had to fight to survive since I was brought into this world. When I set my mind on a goal, whether it be with my grades (which I currently hold a 4.1 GPA), or with sports, I am willing to put forth the effort and work required to reach that goal. When I no longer feel like pushing myself, I am in the gym. When the other girls are sleeping before school I am running. When there is a holiday or a day off at the courts, I am lifting. My goal is to secure a scholarship at a college where I can not only excel in volleyball, but also pursue my dream become a doctor of anesthesiology. Of course as an outside and opposite hitter, I would love to be able to secure this scholarship with my right hand girl, my twin who happens to be my favorite setter. We have worked together since day one,' and as you will see in the videos are a force to be reckoned with. I know it will take hard work to improve to a level that will be required to achieve my goals, but I love a challenge and will go for it with a positive attitude, as the team player I am!
