Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in the 4th grade. I would practice for hours each day passing and setting in my driveway using the garage roof. In 6th grade, my dad set up a rope across the backyard so I could practice serving over the correct height. Once I grew a little, my sister would set and I would practice hitting. I wore out numerous volleyballs and according to my dad it resulted in 1 gutter replacement along with many shingles.
I have been on the varsity squad since my freshman year. I started both my sophomore and junior years playing all six rotations as an outside hitter and left back row. I was all region as my junior year. I have also been on the varsity track team since 7th grade. I participated in 3 individual events at state and was on the State Champion 4 x 400 team as a sophomore. I am the junior class president and on student council. I work hard on and off the court striving to be the best I can be in all that I do.
I can’t see my volleyball career ending after high school. I aspire to play volleyball in college while majoring in Biology so I can pursue my dream of becoming a Pediatrician.
