Personal Statement
Hi!
I have been playing club since I was 8 years old and grew up around the game watching my parents play so I feel like I bring a lot of knowledge and leadership to any team I’m on.
I am a 4 Year varsity player on high school team and have been team Captain for both high school and club teams for the past 3 years.
I have played the outside hitter position for the past few seasons for both high school and club, using my libero background to stay in the game and provide defense in the backrow. Libero is the position I love but team needs in the past few years have forced me to switch up positions and I’m thankful that I’ve gotten the opportunity to learn and grow.
I have broken high school records as libero and then as an outside hitter for both kills and digs. My indoor accolades include Co-Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Region (multiple years), Regional 2nd Place for my high school team, named top sophomore by PrepVolleyball, and named High School Player of the Year by MaxPreps.
I've also started to grow my outdoor volleyball skills in grass and beach. I will be playing in more beach tournaments this year in addition to my indoor club season.
As far as school goes, I am not sure what I want to major in just yet - still kicking around a few ideas. I’ve always been very good at managing my time when it comes to school and sports, because even though I love volleyball my parents have taught me that the education always comes first. I consider myself a value to any team as a great all-around player and teammate. I am a hard worker with everything I do and really enjoy playing volleyball with others who share my passion.
On the rare occasion I’m not playing volleyball, you can usually catch me with my family, at the lake with friends, or watching movies. I love traveling to new places and love any excuse to go to the beach. We may not live near the ocean here but Lake Tahoe more than makes up for it.
