Personal Statement
Hi, I'm Summer ! I've played volleyball since the 5th grade, I started at in a sand court knowing nothing about the game but the passion was there and I felt it. Volleyball has taught so many life lessons that I'll carry throughout my life forever; be courageous, be passionate and not only hold yourself accountable for your mistakes but work to fix them. I learned to always want better for myself, I wasn't the most fortunate athlete but every lesson I've learned taught me to be more and more grateful for what I have. I go to Rancho Highschool, I'm enrolled in their medical program, and I study Forensic pathology as well an EMT program that could get me working on an ambulance fresh out of Highschool. My goal in life is to go to college and be one of the first out of my siblings to get a Collège degree. I'm mostly interested in Marine Science, Zoology, forensics and entrepreneurship. I am an apprentice piercing technician and I have found it has helped me with my anatomy studies. I've had a numerous amount of jobs, I've worked at restaurants, GYMS and NYS volleyball officiating for National Youth Sports of Nevada. I grew up with a pack of Rottweilers, 3 to be exact. I've had cats, reptiles and rodents therefore my main concern has always been their well-being. Instead of watching cartoons as a child I watched animal planet, the Ocean documentaries and wildlife news. I have my heart set on doing what I love which is volleyball and studying what brings me into further understanding of business, medicine and conservation.
