I have been playing volleyball since I was 10 years old and have been playing club volleyball since I was 12 years old. I've been playing on varsity at my high school, Plymouth Regional High School, since my sophomore year and during my freshman year at Souhegan I played for Junior Varsity but swung up to play some varsity games. I am excited to lead my team next year as a co-captain for my senior season! As a setter I've learned a lot of valuable skills like how to communicate effectively with others, how to make quick decisions in tense situations, and how to stay positive through thick and thin. Some of my favorite plays to run are slides, stacks and ones. I love to run plays with my middles! One of my favorite skills in volleyball is defense; there is nothing more satisfying than getting a dig off of a hard hit! I think some of the most important qualities as a setter are communication and confidence. Over the years I've developed a strong presence on the court and I make sure that my voice is always heard. I look forward to studying at my future college to become a high school English teacher and hope to have the opportunity to continue playing volleyball and improving my skills.
