My name is Brittany Woodson. I am a senior at Bishop George Ahr High School in Edison,NJ. I am very interested in playing volleyball on the next level. I have been playing the sport since I was in the fourth grade so I am completely in love with volleyball. I played on varsity at my school starting sophomore year and been playing varsity since. My freshman year I played Junior Varsity as a setter. As a sophomore I played both Junior Varsity and Varsity as a setter and defensive specialist. As a junior I started Varsity as setter. And I am looking forward to my senior year.
Over the past two years I have been playing club ball. I played for Central Jersey Heat my sophomore year as the opposite and defensive specialistsl. During my junior year I played for Sureshots as the setter. I have also played a share of outside. So, although setting is my primary position I have a strong swing and can play multiple positions.
My preference is to attend a larger school in the Mid Atlantic, Southern or New England area because I want to stay somewhat close to my home in New Jersey, however I am flexible. It could be a Historically Black College/University, Christian, Private, or Public. I am open to play for whoever will give me an offer in all divsions. I will require financial aid.
As a student I would like to major in mechanical engineering therefore, it is very important to me that the school offers a great engineering program. As an athlete I would like to play as much as possible at a higher level of competition and reach my highest potential. I can be a very positive impact to any team and am willing to overcome any obstacles and continue to work very hard to become not only a great volleyball player but a great student.
