Victoria Heath '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victoria Heath, I'm 17 years old I've been playing volleyball for 6 years and its my passion. My style of play is very athletic I know how to improvise and use my athleticism to my advantage when I'm stuck or in doubt, I'm very vocal, aggressive, competitive, I have a great work ethic. I'm also a very smart player, I know where the holes are and where to put the ball. I've also lettered in three other varsity sports, soccer, track and basketball and I'm the same way with each one. At my school I have been a starter on the varsity team since the 8th grade and was co-captain my sophomore year, and captain this year (11th). I've made all district first team 3 times once in 2011, 2012,and 2013. During my high school season this year I won the Maxpreps AVCA player of the week award for the week of September 9th 2013. I was awarded this for having outstanding stats during the games I played that week. My major goals have always been to get into a great school with a great education and a volleyball program I will be able to participate in. Something unique about myself is I know my strengths and weaknesses and I take the initiative to better myself athletically and academically and I'm not afraid to be pushed, or accept criticism. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico and go to a private high school called Desert Academy. Its an International Baccalaureate school meaning all the classes I'm taking are college level courses. Its like AP but much much harder!  This year, 2014, is my first year playing club and I'm a starter for New Mexico Juniors 17 Black as a DS and Outside hitter. The closest volleyball club is an hour away, so I drive an hour to get to practice and games 3 or more times a week. I'm a very dedicated person in whatever I involve myself in and I'm always looking for ways to improve.
