Personal Statement
I currently work at Hope Animal Hospital, and volunteer at Hope's Chest, Inc. Hope's Chest is a non-profit organization that rehabilitates injured animals and houses them until they find a forever home. Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion to help animals in need. Working and volunteering in this environment has made that desire grow, and set me on a path.
My life goal is to become a veterinarian, begin a practice and start a facility similar to Hope's Chest. I feel that educating the community is important, and that additional facilities like these will help eliminate the suffering that these innocent creatures endure.
My other passion is volleyball. I look forward to practices, tournaments and growing as a team, the same as I do working and volunteering. Volleyball has taught me about hard work, sacrifice, cooperation and how to have fun while working towards a common goal. To be able to be a student athlete while obtaining my degree would be a tremendous experience.
