Personal Statement
I began my volleyball career in 3rd grade, which soon became a part of my daily life. At a young age whether it was setting the ball against the wall or peppering to myself, to me, I had to touch a ball every single day. This has carried on throughout the years.
My freshman year, I was a swing player on JV. Sophomore year I found myself on straight Varsity as a starting player. The motivation to expand my skill set over the years lead me to play on a traveling team, Capital Volleyball Club, with countless talented athletes. Additionally, I joined Sanford POWER Strength where I was surrounded with amazing athletic coaches who taught me how to lift weights, change direction more effectively and mental toughness. The drive I possess is literally my willingness to drive... my club and strength/conditioning program are 1.5 hours from my home.
My academic goal for high school and college is to strive for all A’s at the end of each quarter/semester, as well as, to put in all the hard work needed to succeed. To succeed in the classroom, I will prioritize my potential by managing my time, create effective study habits, and strive for greatness.
Thank you for reviewing my recruiting profile and I look forward to speaking with you one day!
Sincerely, Graysen
