Hello & welcome to my sports page...
I received a volleyball scholarship in May 2015 to Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen WA -- 2yrs with the intent to transfer to a University in the fall of 2017.
I am a consistent and reliable all around player. I am focused and competitive and my team can rely me for anything. I pass and serve well and can attack from the outside, opposite and backrow hitting positions.
During my Freshman year at GHC I was awarded 2-preseason all-tournament awards, 1-Western Conference Player of the week award and Most Valuable Player of the team award.
My dream is to continue to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level and I am willing to explore opportunities at all levels. I would like to belong to an energetic, cohesive volleyball program where I could be encouraged to excel athletically, academically, personally and where I can help make my team more successful.
Older history:
I began playing competitive volleyball at age 8 (2005). I joined the police athletic league -- PAL in Hawaii.
My first club team: at 13 (2010), I played for Mililani Volleyball Club, Mililani, Hawaii and made the 15U team. I played as Opposite, OH and back up setter on the starting team.
In 2011, I was the only Freshman to make the Varsity team and played Opposite and OH on the starting team. During my Freshmen year our team made it to the Division II, State Championship Game and took 2nd place.
During my 2012 High School volleyball season, I had a recorded 36 kills in the game against Kaiser High School.
In 2013, I joined the Laulea Volleyball Club, 16U team, and will be playing OH and Opposite on the 1st team. I am also the Team Captain.
I moved to North Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2014 from Hawaii where I completed my third year of playing Varsity volleyball at Leilehua High, Wahiawa, Hawaii. The season ended well for the team. We ended up as one of the top teams to go to the State Playoff games and although we did not take first place, it was a record breaking placement for the Division I, women's volleyball team at LHS.
I am currently a Senior attending Mojave High School in N. Las Vegas and play on the Varsity women's volleyball team. I played in the 2014 VolleyBragSwag Sprink Break Girls 4x4 Volleyball tournament here in Las Vegas and won the 'Best Hitter' award in the overall tournament.
I am a consistent and reliable all around player. I am focused and competitive and my team can rely me for anything. I pass and serve well and can attack from the outside, opposite and backrow hitting positions.
My dream is to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level and I am willing to explore opportunities at all levels. I would like to belong to an energetic, cohesive volleyball program where I could be encouraged to excel athletically, academically, personally and where I can help make my team more successful.
Sincerely,
Alexis Fetui
