Today is the day my childhood is over. I am sitting here thinking about my goals for the future, realizing it is time to grow up. Some of my goals for a long time have been to finish high school, graduate from college, and get married and live in a farmhouse on a lake. Today I take into account that those goals were slightly unrealistic. I need to figure out a few more goals before I can find that farmhouse on that lake.
As I come to this realization, some new goals interest me. I want to go to school to become a psychiatric nurse. I have a huge interest in learning about the mind and helping people. I feel like I can be successful in this decision because of my grades and great academic habits. On top of this, being part of a team and playing volleyball in college would better my experience in accomplishing my goals. I cannot imagine never playing the sport I love so much after graduating high school. I have spent so many years being a student athlete, I am confident I would still be able to balance school and volleyball in college.
