Personal Statement
I will be playing in the MLK Tournament in Lancaster, Pennsylvania from January 17-19, on court 17 in the Spooky Nook Complex at 2pm, I am #8.
Hello, my name is Sabina Badzim. I am currently 16 years old and am a junior at Herricks High School in long Island, New York. At my high school I have played lacrosse since 7th grade as well as volleyball. I played club volleyball at Sportime VBC in 2013, and now I play at CALI (Club Ace Long Island) on their number one team in 17's age group, Cali Black, which is also an Open team. I am 5'11, not yet done growing, and around 140 pounds. I am a hard worker not only in volleyball but also in school. In my high school career, every marking period my GPA has either gone up or remained the same. I take harder classes than my peers, and I also take many classes every semester. I take volleyball very seriously, and hope to play it collegiately. When I look at different colleges I focus first on their academics rather than volleyball, my first priority is my academics, and then volleyball. However, I am open to D1, D2, D3, and many other levels, to me Im not focused on the level, I am more focused on just playing. Although the more competitive, the better. I have a strong passion for languages and am tri-lingual. Fluent in Italian, English and Croatian. I also hope to keep taking Italian classes in college as well. On the court I am confident in any position. I have a strong passion for setting, although I love attacking and being an offensive player at the net. My main position is Middle Blocker, however I can play Opposite/Outside just as competitively. I love playing volleyball, and hope my dream as a collegiate player becomes a reality.
