Personal Statement
I am excited to start a new part of my life and go to college. I've played volleyball since I was in the 7th grade, playing one year of modified and being moved up to JV my 8th grade year. Freshman year I played JV as well until my sophomore year I got moved up to varsity and continued there my junior and senior year. I'm able to maintain great grades with volleyball being my only sport. I've also been on a winter club volleyball team since 7th grade. With volleyball being my only sport my passion for the game is immense. I always try to keep a great attitude and keep my team positive. Coming together on and off the court with a volleyball team makes me feel like i'm part of a family. With loving the game so much I would do anything to be able to play in college. I started out as a libero and wanted more. I was half and half with libero and outside hitter my freshman and sophomore year and full time outside hitter junior and senior. Although I love being able to hit, my heart is in the opposite colored jersey and being a defensive specialist or a libero would be amazing to me. My coach is always telling me that I am a versatile player and I have had to play other positions in many different emergency cases. I'm excited to see all my new opportunities to learn and get better at an amazing sport.
