Personal Statement
I am currently a student athlete, hoping for a career in the field of medicine when I reach college. In high school, I am going into my junior year. This year is my 5th year as a starter on the varsity volleyball team. I serve as a captain this season s well as last season. For high school volleyball, I have been a letter winner, captain, I have received honorable mention for the league, I was named "2nd team all star" for the league and I was named "1st team all star" for the league as well. Just last year, I was named to the "3rd All-State team" for NY. Because of my passion for volleyball, I play club ball in the off-season. When I first started out in 7th grade, I played for Cobra Volleyball Club. My 8th grade year, I also played for Cobra and we made it to the Girls Junior National Championship in Reno, Nevada. After that, as a freshman, I changed clubs but played with the same team for a club named Octane Volleyball Club. In my 9th grade year of club, we also made it to the Girls Junior National Championship for the second time in Columbus, Ohio. After that, I continued on with club and played for Octane again. As a sophomore playing club, we lost at the National Qualifier. My junior year of club, we went to the national qualifier, but unfortunately lost.
I am very loud, aggressive, and most importantly, coachable. I know how to bring out leadership in a team, and it comes very easy to me to bring out enthusiasm in a team. Because of my passion, and love for the game of volleyball, I will do whatever it takes to show that I AM committed to the game. I will train, I will fight, and I will work to my full potential whether its in the classroom, on the court, or being a leader in general.
