I've wanted to play volleyball ever since I was a little girl. I was constantly around the volleyball environment, and I wanted to be apart of it because it was a family sport and everyone played during family dinners on Sundays. My aunt played for Ohio University and Hocking College and majored in accounting. Just recently she won her volleyball Alumni Tournament.
When I first joined in the 3rd grade I instantly fell in love with the sport. I felt like I belonged on that court and little did I know volleyball would become such a huge part of my life. I remember in the 7th grade my ex broke up with me and I was completely heartbroken. I also had a tournament the exact day, but when I stepped on that court whatever I was feeling was gone. I was so happy to be able to be there and have both my parents in the stands cheering me on. Volleyball hasn't really ever just been a sport to me. I've used it to cope with deaths, heartbreaks or just anger. It's like I get to revisit my childhood every now again when everyone would just play for the fun of it.
