Starting the sport of volleyball at the lowest level, my first years playing for my middle school team blessed me with an amazing coach who built me up and gave me the confidence that a little 7th grader needed to persevere through the season. With her by my side, I achieved playing as a setter on the freshman team of my freshman year of high school and became more versatile and trained and played as a DS for my freshman and sophomore year of high school volleyball. Later my freshman year, I placed second in Colorado Crossroads Qualifier with my club team. This milestone was one of my most prized achievements because it taught me how to contain my nerves and be a leader in exciting, stressful, and pressured situations. Being a grade level younger than most of my club teams has taught me how to connect with my teammates and find solutions even in the hardest of problems.
My academics are one of the most important aspects of my life. The responsibility and pressure to keep up with honor classes teach me how to plan my time around my personal and athletic life because "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela
