My name is Chloe Hockaday and I am a junior at Victory Christian School. I am a 5'11 Outside Hitter and Defense Specialist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I started the past two years on my Varsity team as a freshman and sophomore and again this year as a Junior, playing all around as an Outside Hitter. We just finished our school season coming in 3rd at State. I play on the top team at my club, Club One. Because of my birthday (September 7th) I play on the 16 Black team, but I am a junior in high school and will graduate in 2018. My team has been to Nationals 3 times and we plan to go again this year. This is my 6th season playing competitive volleyball and I love it! I love volleyball and how much fun I have playing the sport. Since I started volleyball, I have always dreamed of playing in college.
I am an exceptional student, currently holding a 4.0 GPA. I have been a member the National Honors Society for 4 years now, starting as a 7th grader. I plan on working hard in school to maintain my 4.0 GPA throughout high school, and to achieve a high enough ACT score. I am hoping this will help me to get scholarships. I'm undecided on my college major, but am interested in sports medicine and pre-medicine. I know in the next year, I will get a clearer picture of what I want to study.
I love volleyball and I have put in a lot of hard work to get to where I am now. I believe I will succeed in whatever I put my mind to, and with volleyball I want to be the best Outside Hitter that I can be. I am constantly working on my agility and working hard to get my vertical higher including working out with a vertical cross fit trainer. When I set certain goals for myself, I intend to achieve them. I am continually working on being the best version of me, on and off the court. I try my hardest to encourage and lift up my teammates, having the best attitude I can have on the court and in practices.
