Personal Statement
I am 16 years old and a junior at South Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. I am a 4.0 student in International High School and working on my twelth year of French immersion. Being in my junior year I have started full IB (International Baccalaureate). I am a 5'9" setter, but I also play DS and some opposite. During my freshman high school season I had one of the highest kill counts on my team as well as one of the highest numbers of blocks. As a freshman I received first team all conference as well as MVP on my high school team. To me, this was a huge accomplishment and such an honor! I made the top 16's team playing for Webfoot Juniors Volleyball Club, playing primarily opposite. My team attended nationals and won the bronze bracket in the National Division. This was such a huge accomplishment for the club, the team and myself. Overall I could not have asked for a better and more accomplishing freshman year. My sophomore high school season I set a 5-1. I finished the season with 877 assists and 223 digs. My team had our best season in a long time, we beat our rivals in their home gym for the first time in 21 years! We also finished 14th in the state of Oregon. Last club season I played for Cathy Nelson on the top 16s Webfoot Juniors team. We attended GJNC and placed fifth in American! My junior year of high school I received first team all conference and MVP of my team. I believe what sets me apart from other recruits is my heart and my drive. I am always energized and willing to put in 110% every second. I am looking at every possible option to further my academic and athletic career.
