Ryleigh Gainey '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since the third grade. I have play a variety of sports but my true passion is volleyball. This game fits me like a glove, it has excitement, it's a team sport, and it's fast paced which I especially love. Believing I am a good candidate for your team because I strive to make myself better everyday to help my team. 

I am an all around player, strong in the front and back rows. Being quick on my feet and able to read hitters allows great defensive coverage.  With my jump reach not only attacking from the front row but added benefit from the back row.  I consider myself a smart player, using the skills as a team not just an individual.

I have a strong work ethic on the court and in the classroom. I aim for a high GPA and take all the opportunities to further my education. As a Junior in high school I'm enrolled at Rogue Community College working towards a health care certificate.

I also believe in the community and paying it back.  Over the past three years we have hosted an annual youth volleyball camp at my high school and I also helped coach a local fifth grade volleyball team. 

I try to surround everyone around me in a positive atmosphere and lift everyone up. I am a team leader who wants everyone to be successful. I want to attend a college that has the best fit of education for me and that allows me to compete at the best that I possibly can. I am very open minded to all options that come my way.
