I love playing volleyball and am looking to play at a smaller school, probably DII or DIII. This is my 5th year playing club, and I've played high school for four years, on varsity three of the four years. Coaches consistently comment on my work ethic; no one on the team will work harder than I will and no one will have a better attitude. I augment my team experience with work with a private volleyball coach and a private strength and agility coach in order to continually improve. I work hard, play hard, and am competitive but I'm not intense, I'm very easy going. I bring a good balance to the team and am consistently told by coaches that if they could have a team full of players like me, they would. I balance my time between volleyball, tennis, choir, theatre, and studying which leaves me little time for anything else!
As a player I have experience all around the court and I'm very flexible and coachable. Last season I played starting left back on my high school team. This is a spot that I had to make for myself as our Outside roster is very deep. Currently I am playing Opposite and backing up Outside as needed. I am excited to be learning new skills playing Opposite and to support my team in the best way possible. So far my defensive play off of the net has been great, along with my very consistent serving. My 2016 club season I played starting Outside all around, and served as team Captain.
I am looking for a program that will allow me to continue to grow and develop as an individual player, and to be a strong contributing member of the program and great teammate. I am excited for what the future holds as a college scholar-athlete and at the end of the day, I just really want to play college volleyball!
Thank you for your consideration.
