Volleyball is more than just a sport to me. It is a lifestyle. The sport was first introduced to me when my older siblings began playing. I, too, wanted to play and from a young age, I began playing up on older teams. This means I have to work to earn my spot and push myself to continually improve my skills. Outside of the gym, I work just as hard to become the best player I can be.
Volleyball has taught me to trust my teammates and in my own abilities, to have perseverance, and to always play humbly and give my all. My education and grades are just as important to me, in high school and as I search for a college. I am looking for a college that can meet my criteria of offering a great education and the opportunity to play competitive collegiate volleyball.
In 2015 and in 2017 my club team went to Nationals. Each day, regardless if we won or lost the day before, I came in ready to play and give my all in each game. I do not play halfheartedly, and I am a player who understands the importance of being able to fulfill my job on the court and as part of a team.
