Hi my name is Sophia Kane! Some things about myself is I’m a multiple sport athlete volleyball being my main priority, beach volleyball during the summer and track. Academics are a big part of being a athlete and making sure to stay focused and getting good grades. Another part of my life that is important is friends and family. They support me through my accomplishments and struggles and help me when I need it most. Volleyball has always been a big part of my life since I started in third grade for fun with my dad coaching my school team. Since then my passion for volleyball grew even more after improving my skills. Also doing other sports and workouts to benefit myself for volleyball season. Being apart of a team that lifted each other up and and taking volleyball to the next level. A huge part of volleyball that I love is “Family”. Volleyball is all about family and sticking together. We all learn life lessons and build each other up on the way. Once I started club volleyball I went to camps, private trainings and showcases. As I started going into high school I knew I wanted to pursue volleyball in the future and play in college and reach for the USA team. I have the drive to get better and put all that I have out on the court during games and practices. I have had the opportunity to be captain for my highschool team sophomore and junior year, as well as being voted captain by my 2021-2022 club team. This demonstrated my commitment to being a leader on and off the court and has pushed me even more to lead by example and push the team above our perceived limits.
