Personal Statement
I am a highly competitive athlete that has competed on tournament teams in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. I continue to be a multi-sport athlete playing both varsity volleyball and softball in high school. However, as I continue to play volleyball at the tournament level, my love and passion for this sport continues to grow. As a dedicated, well-rounded student, I enjoy being a role-model for younger students. As a member of the following clubs( National Honor Society, Student Government, Interact Club, and Vision Clubs), I am able to give back to my community by participating in many service projects and youth volunteer activities. I understand the necessity of time-management skills as I must balance my rigorous academic schedule with athletics, club duties, and extra-curricular activities. My goal is to attend college, major in accounting/business or law, and play volleyball at the highest competitive level I can attain.
I am a versatile player who can play six rotations on the court. I have played Outside Hitter, Right Side Hitter, and Setter for both my high school and tournament teams. I am coachable and self-motivated, willing to take constructive criticism, and always looking for ways to improve my play and grow as an athlete. This year during the club season, I was asked to play up at the U17 level and believe this opportunity challenged me to gain court awareness, afforded me the opportunity to gain confidence, and helped me to increase my court IQ. I improved my ability to read hitters which helped me with blocking. I also improved my ability to hit through a block, around a block, over a block, and off of a block. In conclusion, I am a hard worker, supportive team mate, and a team player who strives to contribute to my team's success in any way my team/coach needs me to - at the end of the game, I will have left it all on the court.
